Theming On A Come Up Mix
For the past few months I have been watching a ton of old Blaxploitation movies. I've been very interested in the music that accompanies some of these movies. The theme songs especially. They are so literal and so catchy. I feel like it's a genre in itself. It's soul music but a lot of the songs play like trailers of sorts.
Also, it's a joy to hear some of the greatest singers providing the backdrops for this small window in black cinema. I highly suggest digging into some of these old movies and if the feeling hits you some of the soundtracks and scores that accompanied them.
(Hell's Belles is not a blaxploitation flick but I just loved that song and it kinda fit the flow.)
